About Me

Sharon Carson is an experienced voice over artist and radio host. She has always had a gift for storytelling and followed her creative knack for interviewing talent and searching out unique and inspiring story ideas. Even in grade school, she began to blossom in her literary creativity, as she began to find her niche in the art of poetry, while enhancing her verbal skills. As a teenager, Sharon began to expound upon her curiosity of media through her high school curriculum. She soon began hosting, producing and editing her own news segments on her high school's television show. Her creative motto was to pen and produce stories that focused on broadcasting news from a positive perspective. She further elaborated on her distinctive style by excluding literary content that embraced stereotypes, human misrepresentation and over all negative content. Her first story focused on young women surviving teenage pregnancy in the suburban environment. After the success of this piece, she decided to pursue a career in broadcasting. Sharon graduated from John's University with a degree in communications. She continues to develop her writing skills, while pursuing a Master’s degree in New Media Journalism. Her continued goal is to deliver news and general stories through a positive perspective. She aspires to create stories that will encourage, inspire and encourage others to be catalyst for insightful change, while transforming the lives of others. Through this mission, Uplifting News was born, delivering stories through written and verbal content with strong and insightful interviews. She has now turned a goal into a reality, as she continues to move forward with her creative journalistic endeavors. Sharon’s positivity comes from her faith in Christ, which is her catalyst for insightful change.
